The programming is free and diverse, attracting around 1,600 people per month.It includes concerts ranging from rock to metal, samba sessions, forró, carnival block, film screenings, film club, June festivals, children's shows, theater and musicals, vacation camps, as well as daily cultural activities for the local population. Notable activities include workshops in literacy, music, robotics, capoeira, skate, dance, cooking, storytelling, cultural production, and environmental education.
Located at the intersection of the communities of Baixa do Sapateiro, Nova Holanda, and Nova Maré, the Maré Arena beats with the expression of the right to art and culture in peripheral territories, attracting residents from different areas and breaking invisible but enormous barriers to circulation between Maré's favelas.

• Through Access:Activity for the youth audience aiming to foster circulation in public spaces in Maré, breaking symbolic borders of circulation for children, adolescents, and young people, and promoting encounters between individuals from different areas of Maré.
• Favela Rock: Rock festival at the Maré Arena, aiming to strengthen the alternative rock scene in Maré.
• Lona Música Livre: Musical events aiming to strengthen musical scenes in Maré.
• Other shows: Production of shows and cultural events through partnerships with artists, encompassing multiple artistic languages.
• Quintal do Bira: Visual arts exhibition gallery. The exhibition "Passa a visão" will be open until January 2024.
#Municipal Popular Library Jorge Amado – Inside the annex building of the Arena, there is a reading and activity space with a collection of over 5,000 books for loan and consultation. #Pé de Livro: Storytelling Workshop – Activity promoted by the Arena team to encourage reading among children who frequent the space. The activity takes place every Tuesday from 3:30 pm to 5 pm at the main gate of the Arena while the facility is under construction. It helps children develop cognitive and social potential through literature.
#Author/Book of the Week: – A conversation about reading, books, and authors – An initiative of the Jorge Amado Library to bring the children's audience closer to authors. This activity also promotes meetings with local authors to give visibility to their work, strengthen the representation and inspiration of local authors, and promote a culture of creative economy, amplifying artistic practices in favela territories.
#Maré Longboard Workshop – Held in partnership with the Maré Longboard collective, which works to expand the potential of adolescents and young people in the Maré favela complex. Through skate and longboard workshops, the project addresses topics such as urban mobility, city access, rights, and urban arts. Tuesday, at 4:30 pm - age range: 10 to 16 years.
#Maré de Capoeira – Initiative of the Maré Arena with the Maré de Capoeira collective, aiming to expand the motor, cognitive, musical, and social potential of children in the Maré favela complex through playful capoeira and popular culture activities. The classes are also an opportunity to discuss racial relations and the valorization of Afro-Brazilian culture. Thursday, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm - age range: 6 to 10 years.
#Panderolando:Percussion workshop – Initiative of the Herbert Vianna Cultural Arena in partnership with the Panderolando Maré collective, aiming to democratize access to music through percussion. In the workshops, students study rhythms such as samba, forró, funk, jongo, and others from Brazilian musical culture. In addition to developing musical potential, the workshops propose discussions on access to culture and religious racism against Afro-Brazilian religions. Thursday, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm - age range: 12 to 16 years.
#Not One Less -Education Axis project that strengthens non-formal education actions, offering daily workshops in literacy, robotics, music, and welcoming children who are out of school or having difficulty returning. The purpose is to reinforce the bonds between students, families, and public schools in the region. Among the activities currently taking place are: robotics classes, pedagogical complementation, art education, and musical practice.

#Write Your Future - Literacy project for women in Maré, from the Education axiswith the challenge of educating residents who have never established a continuous relationship with school knowledge and learning processes, as well as ensuring the entry or resumption of their school trajectories. The project has seven classes in six spaces of Redes da Maré and local partners, such as the Arena.
Classes: one class from 10 am to 12 pm, Monday to Thursday
#Maré of Rights - –Project of the Right to Security and Access to Justice Axis, offering support and assistance with free consultations by lawyers, social workers, and psychologists.
