PROJECT

The Petrobras Young Apprentice Program aims topromote the social inclusion of young people in situations of social vulnerability, through their social and professional qualification, thus contributing to their better insertion in the job market, and operates in three aspects:

  • qualify young people for the world of work, developing specific skills in it, in addition to communication and writing;
  • train young people to face the job market, with knowledge of labor and social rights, safety and health, union organization, among others;
  • enable access to education, citizenship and the full exercise of rights, with information on quality of life, environment, gender and ethnicity issues, human rights, among others

Currently, in its 6th edition, 16 adolescents, aged between 15 and 18, who live in Maré, participate in the role of Administrative Assistant.
Since 2006, 266 young people have benefited, with training in one of these functions: industrial maintenance electrician, building maintenance electrician, refrigeration mechanic, building plumber, administrative assistant or web designer. Professional qualification courses are held at SENAI.
